I’ve been talking to a lot of my patients about commitment lately. Committing to a healthy lifestyle. Committing to taking charge of your life and the direction you want it to go in. Committing to taking the action steps necessary to get you there.
Commitment can be scary. I’ve noticed a lot of fear come up around this word. When a client is considering working with us and joining our Maxim Life program, their fear of commitment comes into play. What happens if I fail? What if I don’t have the willpower to stick with this? What if it’s just too hard?
Here is the thing about commitment, it requires your all. When you commit, you want to be all in, 100%. There is no point in committing to something that you are going to try and half-ass your way through. It also means you have to make a decision. Am I going to change, or choose to stay the same?
So yes commitment can be scary. But one thing I know for sure is that when you make a decision to commit to something, 100%, the Universe will conspire in your favor and support you on the path you’ve chosen. When you decide to make a big change you will be given the support you need. You will be guided to the right resources and people to help you with your commitment. When you are making a positive change in your life, the Universe will have your back.
I have experienced this countless times in my own life. When I’ve signed up for a program or a coaching curriculum that is well outside my financial means, I always somehow found the money I needed to pay for it. When I was going through my first sugar detox I had one day in particular where I was having a hard time with the withdrawals. I opened up my email and there was a video in my inbox on tips for quitting sugar along with a meditation to help with the withdrawal cravings. When I made the decision to expand my business and take it to the next level, a few key people miraculously came into my life to help me grow my practice. Interestingly we have noticed at our center that when someone who is very ill signs up for a program their health begins to improve within a few days before they even started the detox process. Commitment can be a powerful force.
What all these experiences had in common was that I committed 100% to my decision. I trusted that the Universe would support me in my commitment and provide me with all the tools and resources I needed. I also trusted myself that I would have the willpower and strength to stick to my commitments. Yes the big decisions I’ve made have been scary, but they haven’t been nearly as hard as I thought they would be. I found myself way more capable then I ever thought possible with the guidance and support that I was provided. When the Universe has your back there is nothing that you can’t do or become.
If you are faced with big commitment that is bringing up fear for you, keep in mind that you will be provided everything you need to accomplish this goal or task. So go for it! Be all in! Commit to changing your life for the better, and the Universe will make sure that you succeed.
