“You can’t have a happy ending to an unhappy journey.” – Abraham Hicks
Of all the inspirational quotes out there, this is by far my favorite. It’s a constant reminder that no matter your destination, living well and living happy is what it’s all about.
If that quote resonates with you as well, then you are in the right place. Lauren Grace Living is essentially a collection of articles and videos to help you have a happy journey. From self growth advice, health tips, travel insights, and creative inspiration.
A GLIMPSE INTO MY JOURNEY
Hi there, as you may have guessed, I’m Lauren Grace. And yes Grace is my last name, I know it’s rather fitting for a self growth based blog. 🙂
My path in life has lead me down many different roads. I’ve been an Illustrator, Theater Set Designer, Prop Mistress (it’s a theater term, not a sexual term), Retail manager for a Metaphysical store, Acupuncturist, Integrative Doctor, Youtuber, Motivational Speaker, an online Entrepreneur, and of course a Blogger.
Presently, in addition to this blog I own and operate Sarasota Integrative Health, a wellness center for Acupuncture and Functional Medicine. I am also the co-founder and CEO of Healus, an online health platform and supplement line.

In my free time I write, hang out with my cats, travel, go to the beach, hang out with my cats, go to the theater, read, listen to podcasts, hang out with my cats, meditate, scroll aimlessly on Instagram, and workout. Did I mention I like to hang out with my cats? I also enjoy spending time with people as well. My partner Brian and I live, work, and love together. Needless to say we get along rather well. I’m blessed with two supportive parents who live close to me. And I’ve been lucky to gather a great group of eclectic like minded friends throughout the years. But just to be clear, my cats come first.

As you get to know me through my blogs and videos, you’ll see that I am an open book. I’m not ashamed of my failures, nor do I try and hide my odd quarks (and I have quite a few). And as much as I enjoy discussing deep spiritual truths, I also like to find the humor and humanism, and have no problem laughing at myself. In other words you can expect me to deliver some profound words of inspiration, alongside a good dose of sarcasm.
If you want to peek inside my mind and understand me a little more I have a blog post here for you on 25 weird facts that you may, or may not want to know about me.
HOW I GOT HERE
To be honest I started this blog for selfish reasons. I love to write, research, and discuss subjects that I’m passionate about. And while I have a rather eclectic collection of passions from self growth to the creative arts. I can find an inspirational message and guidance in pretty much anything, even a slapstick comedy.
I’m also a big fan of blogs in general. In fact I don’t know if I would be where I am in life without them. Reading blogs and watching videos was, and still is a huge part of my own self-growth education. I’ve learned so much from bloggers throughout the years as they share their struggles and insights. I believe that through sharing our stories we help each other grow as a collective. And now that I have enough life experience and knowledge, I’m ready to share my own stories and insights in hopes that I can help you on your journey as well.
THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THIS BLOG
Now my blog breaks the typical “rule,” of focusing on just 1 main subject. I have a bit of a rebellious streak, so instead I’m covering 4 different topics.
These 4 categories are the things that light me up most in life: Spiritual and Self Growth work, Health and Wellness, Travel, and Art.
I believe that a happy life is full of growth, fun, vitality, creativity, and inspiration. So why not address them all?
And while the blog topics will vary, there will be an overall theme of self-growth interwoven in every piece.

PERSONAL GROWTH
I’ve been on a self growth journey since I was a little girl. As a spiritual seeker at a young age I’ve always been studying and reading anything and everything related to personal growth.
Along this journey I’ve learned a lot. I’ve read books, taken courses, attended seminars, sat in goddess circles, prayed, meditated, and manifested. Most importantly I’ve lived a good chunk of life and have actually applied what I’ve learned throughout the years.
In this section of the blog I share what I have learned, and what I’m currently learning. From practical productivity tips, to advanced law of attraction methods.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS
If you can’t tell from my current profession(s), I’m pretty well versed in this area. And when it comes to health, I believe that knowledge is power. In today’s world you can not rely on your doctors to have all the answers. And if you truly want to thrive in life you can’t ignore your body.
In this section of the blog I’m passing on everything I’ve learned about health and wellness. This information isn’t just theory, it’s been successfully applied and implemented by thousands of patients. So not to toot my own horn here (toot toot), but I’m definitely speaking from experience.
My goal in this section is to give you the knowledge and tools to take charge of your own health. Because let’s face it, it’s hard to have a happy journey if you are sick all the time.
A few good health gems to start with:
Depression and Anxiety start with your gut, not your head.
Why you’re eating your food wrong.
The way to prevent and get rid of a cold fast!

TRAVEL AND LIFESTYLE
Confession, I’m not a travel blogger. Not in the traditional sense at least. But I do love to travel and explore other cultures. Travel makes me rather introspective. No matter where I go I always come back with new perceptions and impressions.
So while you won’t find the Top 10 things to do in Rome on this blog, you will find insights like Parisian habits everyone should adopt, and how to visit New York like a New Yorker.
Within these blogs I also drop some hidden gems, highlighting some of my favorite cafes, restaurants, shops, and attractions. Plus I throw in some practical psychology tips like how to deal with travel anxiety, and post travel depression.

ART AS LIFE
Personally, this is my favorite part of the blog. I have a deep passion for art of all kinds. From movies to fine arts, theater, music, literature, and even tv.
Entertainment has always strived to serve us. Whether it’s to distract us with a comedy, move us with a song, or make us think in a play. In this section I explore art and entertainment from the past and present, and extract from it some beautiful insights and inspiration. Sometimes I’ll focus on the work of art itself, and sometimes the artist.
And yes, I realize that I sound like one of those people that over analyzes every film they see, and, well, that’s a rather accurate portrayal if I’m honest. I believe that art can teach us as much as it can entertain us. Don’t worry, I don’t get too deep here, but I do attempt to extract some insightful nuggets in every piece.
Here you’ll find a wide range of discussions from how certain artists and films shaped our world, to what to watch when you are feeling blue. And just a warning, expect a good amount of Musical references, because Musicals are my jam.
STAY AWHILE
If you read through this page and you are still here, then something I wrote most have resonated with you. I like to think of this blog as self-growth with a twist. So if you are into inspirational content mixed with a little sarcasm and self effacing humor, then we will get along just fine. I’ll never claim to have all the answers, nor do I have any desire to be seen as a guru. But as someone who tends to be introspective and extremely self analyzing, I’ve learned a lot throughout the years. And as long as my experience, knowledge, and insight can inspire someone else, then I’ll keep sharing.
I don’t expect every topic I discuss to vibe with you, and if it does hit me up because we should clearly be best friends. But I can promise to deliver a good dose of inspiration and truth in every piece. So even if a certain subject isn’t your thing I’d encourage you to give it a read anyway. There is a good chance that you might just learn something new that can have a positive impact on your life.
Now I’d love to hear from you. If you have any topics that you’d like me to cover, or a question that you’d like answered you can email me here. Feel free to just reach out and say hi as well!
And if you’d really like to make my day you’ll subscribe here as well! By subscribing I’ll keep you up to date with the latest content, plus you’ll receive some insider secrets and perkes just for subscribers. (I’m not above a little bribery)
Thank you for being here and joining me on this journey. Let’s make it a good one together.
Lauren Grace
